How it all started...
New Harvest began online. In 2020, during the pandemic, a handful of us began meeting online for prayer, praise, and scripture reading with a shared desire to faithfully live out the gospel in Long Eaton. During that time we were put in touch with John Townley and the Free Methodist Church in the UK. We were really encouraged by their heart for Jesus and commitment to making him known. Before long we felt God calling us to develop a Free Methodist Church plant in Long Eaton. And so, New Harvest Community Church was born. There are around 30 of us who meet on Sundays at 10:30am in the Mohan Centre on Tamworth Road.
Expanding the vision...
Since the beginning we've partnered with Bundles of Hope. Bundles of Hope is a community based initiative which provides opportunities for families of preschool children to access clothing, shoes, nappies and wipes free of charge. We're keen to support local families by demonstrating the love of Jesus in a practical way. We have a vision to see local families introduced to the life giving power of Jesus.
Where we are headed...
We want to see Long Eaton transformed by the gospel of Jesus. We want to see a thriving church where people experience the life and power of God. We passionately believe that the only hope for a dying world is Jesus Christ and so we believe that Jesus Christ is the only who can provide hope for our town.
Be a part of our story...
Join us every Sunday at 10:30am as we gather to worship in the Mohan Centre.
